Outside Sales Representative for the Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Supply Industry.  Cortland, New York area.

           QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience selling HVAC, Plumbing and  Electrical materials preferred.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Valid Driver’ License.

            RESPONSIBILITES:

• Progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers. 
• Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new product lines.
• Participate in training classes, trade shows, and sales meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education: 
Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: 
Two to four years industry specific experience is preferred.

Knowledge: 

• Broad range knowledge of product lines and pricing. 
• You must have a proven ability to learn our business and work independently to achieve goals. 
• Negotiation skills along with the ability to sell are needed.   
• A broad knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing is required. 
• You must have a professional appearance and demeanor. 

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday 
Some overtime may be required.

ELECTRICAL INSIDE SALES/COUNTER SALES 

Currently we are looking for Inside Sales/Counters Sales with experience in the Electrical area.  Cortland location.  These individuals must possess the following: 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees and management.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Take an active role in handling incoming and outgoing counter sales calls.
• Provide support on product selection.
• Coordinate in a timely manner the prompt handling of customer requests included but not limited to order entry, correct pricing, expediting, and correct account billing.
• Assist the customer in the resolution of all disputes and claims within warranty.
• Inside counters sales.
• Put away stock during counter down time.
• Help unload delivery trucks if needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

WORK SCHEDULE:

8:00 to 5:00; Monday through Friday (this may vary by location)
Some overtime may be required.
